Research Interests

We are interested in the development and function of neuronal circuits that are the building blocks of brain physiology. In particular, we focus on a particular form of reverberatory activity that we first observed in cultured neurons. We are using electriphysiological and optical methods to study such collective network activity in vitro and in vivo, aiming at understanding the mechanisms of its emergence and evolution as well as its relevance in brain functions and related disorders.
