  Personal Profile

Dr. Li Wei-Fang is currently an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the School of Life Sciences, USTC. She obtained her Ph.D degree from Yangzhou University in 2002. From 2002 to 2005, she worked in the group of Professor Liu Jing in USTC as a postdoctoral fellow. She has published 26 papers, and the course of "Biochemistry" for the undergraduate students she taught in collaboration with Professor Zhou Cong-Zhao was awarded the excellent course of Anhui Province in 2007.

Research Interests

1. Structural and functional studies on the fibroin-related gene and their proteins of Bombyx mori.

2. Structural and functional studies of key proteins involved in the pathway of biosynthesis, degradation and signal transduction of juvenile hormone (JH) of Bombyx mori.
